now that they have navigated this one . they still have the largest class suit in history from women facing them . they deserved this particular lawsuit . My aunt , whose veteran WW2 husband had passed away , she had some SS to rely on, a small pension, took a job there in her late 60's , early 70's she had a lot of horror stories. I need to call her and see if she is part of this settlement .They did take advantage of their workers... Conservatives always scream we need to run government like a buisiness, the question is which one . Buisinesses reflect their leadershp , you get companies that are incompetent and evil as well as government. What we should expect is government that is responsible and competent . Government's job is not a profit but to serve the tax payers . Just like democrats had to abandon the model of welfare as they knew it , when it proved to be a failed system , republicans need to adjust to the fact that deregulation has been a nearly absolute catastrophic failure as well .. how do we know? well the proof is in the pudding .we have run our financial system since 1980 nonstop that gradually pushing more and more deregulation ..and lo and behold .. we have the biggest financial crisis since the great depression,. the trick will be ..ahh yes the trick ..will be finding a balancing point between necessary oversight and not a total stifling of financial markets and innovation .
