Hundreds Arrested in Immigration Raid at Iowa Meatpacking Plant

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Federal immigration agents on Monday arrested at least 300 people during a raid at a Postville meat processing plant.

The raid by agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement was the largest such operation in Iowa history, said Matt M. Dummermuth, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Iowa.

Dummermuth said the raid at the Agriprocessors Inc. plant came after months of planning. Agriprocessors is the world's largest kosher meatpacking plant.

If they filed charges

on the owners , or corporate executives the behaviour would stop quick.Letme knowthe firsttimeyou hear ofan executivebeing arrested for all the illegals they have working for them ..it aint gonna happen .Course they might have to pull them out of republican fund raisers The largest meat companies are typically huge republican fund raisers ,tyson ,etc, as are walmart and home depot ,all of whom employ large numbers of illegals.rational decisions would involve a guest worker program with IDs and tracking in my opinion . imprisoning illegal aliens spouses and childrens for a msidemeanor is the wrong approach as well.one thing we can agree on , the current approach is not working

i still say ..........

put a fence around Iowa!!! :-D
