Student Sues Wisconsin School After Getting a Zero for Religious Drawing

MADISON, Wis. — A Tomah High School student has filed a federal lawsuit alleging his art teacher censored his drawing because it featured a cross and a biblical reference.

The lawsuit alleges other students were allowed to draw "demonic" images and asks a judge to declare a class policy prohibiting religion in art unconstitutional.

not quite the same ... but

My son once took a creative writing class.. and he was told he could write "freely" about what was on his mind.. he did ! oh boy did he! anyway the school decided to suspend him for it.. i went to school and argued the fact that the rules stated you are to write "freely" about whats on your mind... ..my son wrote about marijuana! but i said if ya want whats on his brain you got it! dont say "Free" if he aint exactly "Free!" the suspension was lifted and the next assignment directions were changed to include the zero tolerance rules..

♥Yesterday is but a dream.. Tomorrow is a only a vision . But... today was a real bitch♥

My View

Well it seems that students and teachers can make any kind of statement they want about anything they want as long as it does not appear they are promoting Christianity and if so they are zapped. I admire this student and his parents for standing up against a secular agenda, his art is his own conviction not the school systems. Hell has lots of front row seats for the deniers.
