here's what it costs ya

If this doesn't open your eyes... nothing will!

From the L.A. Times

1. 40% of all workers in L.A. County ( L.A. County has 10.2 million people)

are working for cash and not paying taxes. This was because they are

predominantly illegal immigrants, working without a green card.

2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.

4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien

Mexicans on Medi-Cal, whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

5. Nearly 25% of all inmates in California detention centers

are Mexican nationals here illegally.

6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles

are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.

8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

9. 21 radio stations in L.A. are Spanish speaking.

10. In L.A. County 5.1 million people speak English.

3.9 million speak Spanish.

(There are 10.2 million people in L.A. County).

(All the above from the Los Angeles Times)

Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops,

but 29% are on welfare.

Over 70% of the United States' annual population growth

(and over 90% of California , Florida , and New York )

results from immigration.

The cost of immigration to the American taxpayer in 1997 was,

(after subtracting taxes immigrants pay), a NET $70 BILLION/

year, [Professor Donald Huddle, Rice University ]. The lifetime

fiscal impact (taxes paid minus services used) for the average

adult Mexican immigrant is a NEGATIVE number.

29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.

If they can come to this country to raise Hell and demonstrate by

the thousands, WHY can't they take charge over the corruption

in their own country?

We are a bunch of fools for letting this continue.

THE U.S. VS MEXICO

?

On February 15, 1998, the U.S. and Mexican soccer teams met at the Los Angeles

Coliseum. The crowd was overwhelmingly pro-Mexican even though most lived

in this country. They booed during the National Anthem and U.S. flags were held

upside down. As the match progressed, supporters of the U.S. team were insulted,

pelted with projectiles, punched and spat upon. Beer and trash were thrown at

the U.S. players before and after the match. The coach of the U.S. team, Steve

Sampson said, "This was the most painful experience I have ever had in this

profession."

Did you know that immigrants from Mexico and other non-European countries

can come to this country and get preferences in jobs, education, and government

contracts. It's called affirmative action or racial privilege. The Emperor of Japan

or the President of Mexico could migrate here and immediately be eligible for

special rights unavailable for Americans of European descent.

Corporate America has signed on to the idea that minorities and third world

immigrants should get special, privileged status. Some examples are Exxon,

Texaco, Merrill Lynch, Boeing, Paine Weber, Starbucks and many more.

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know .. that Mexico regularly intercedes on the side

of the defense in criminal cases involving Mexican nationals?

Did you know .. that Mexico has NEVER extradited a Mexican

national accused of murder in the U.S. in spite of agreements to do so?

According to the L.A Times, Orange County , California is home to 275

gangs with 17,000 members, 98% of which are Mexican and Asian.

How's your county doing?

According to a New York Times article dated May 19, 1994, 20 years after

the great influx of legal immigrants from Southeast Asia, 30% are still on

welfare compared to 8% of households nationwide. A Wall Street Journal

editorial dated December 5, 1994 quotes law enforcement officials as stat-

ing that Asian mobsters are the "greatest criminal challenge the country

faces." Not bad for a group that is still under 5% of the population.

Is education important to you? Here are the words of a teacher who spent

over 20 years in the Los Angeles School system. "Imagine teachers in classes

containing 30-40 students of widely varying attention spans and motivation,

many of whom aren't fluent in English. Educators seek learning materials

likely to reach the majority of students and that means fewer words and

math problems and more pictures and multicultural references."

WHEN I WAS YOUNG?

I remember hearing about the immigrants that came through Ellis Island .

They wanted to learn English. They wanted to breathe free. They wanted

to become Americans. Now, far too many immigrants come here with de-

mands. They demand to be taught in their own language. They demand spe-

cial privileges ... affirmative action. They demand ethnic studies that glorify

their culture.

NOW ...

WHY CAN'T WE SEND THEM HOME

What part of "ILLEGAL ALIEN" is too hard to understand??

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Send copies of this letter to at least two other people ...
100 would be even better.

atrocious for sure...

... but I still say it's not the immigrants causing all this crap. It's the illegal aliens. Big difference. The immigrants have gone, or are going thru, the arduous process of becoming American citizens. They are the hard workers, they can speak enough english to get by, they respect their new homeland. Whereas the illegal aliens are too busy living the criminal life, getting paid illegally, living here illegally, getting social services illegally, and blowing off the english language. They just screw it up for the immigrants.

But building a wall to keep them out is like shoveling out the tide. We just need to enforce existing immigration laws. But it's our own fault our elected government chooses not to do this. Too many of us want to take advantage of the illegal aliens.

Jim Wilson/The New York Times
Illegal immigrants who worked in a vineyard in Clarksburg, Calif., paid taxes for Social Security and Medicare, but will not get any benefits.

By EDUARDO PORTER

Published: April 5, 2005
TOCKTON, Calif. - Since illegally crossing the Mexican border into the United States six years ago, Ángel Martínez has done backbreaking work, harvesting asparagus, pruning grapevines and picking the ripe fruit. More recently, he has also washed trucks, often working as much as 70 hours a week, earning $8.50 to $12.75 an hour.

Not surprisingly, Mr. Martínez, 28, has not given much thought to Social Security's long-term financial problems. But Mr. Martínez - who comes from the state of Oaxaca in southern Mexico and hiked for two days through the desert to enter the United States near Tecate, some 20 miles east of Tijuana - contributes more than most Americans to the solvency of the nation's public retirement system.

Last year, Mr. Martínez paid about $2,000 toward Social Security and $450 for Medicare through payroll taxes withheld from his wages. Yet unlike most Americans, who will receive some form of a public pension in retirement and will be eligible for Medicare as soon as they turn 65, Mr. Martínez is not entitled to benefits.

He belongs to a big club. As the debate over Social Security heats up, the estimated seven million or so illegal immigrant workers in the United States are now providing the system with a subsidy of as much as $7 billion a year.

While it has been evident for years that illegal immigrants pay a variety of taxes, the extent of their contributions to Social Security is striking: the money added up to about 10 percent of last year's surplus - the difference between what the system currently receives in payroll taxes and what it doles out in pension benefits. Moreover, the money paid by illegal workers and their employers is factored into all the Social Security Administration's projections.

Illegal immigration, Marcelo Suárez-Orozco, co-director of immigration studies at New York University, noted sardonically, could provide "the fastest way to shore up the long-term finances of Social Security."

It is impossible to know exactly how many illegal immigrant workers pay taxes. But according to specialists, most of them do. Since 1986, when the Immigration Reform and Control Act set penalties for employers who knowingly hire illegal immigrants, most such workers have been forced to buy fake ID's to get a job.

invisible payroll taxes

one oif the things that is not acknowledged most illegals work with forged social security etc..so in effect they end up paying huge ammounts into both in federal taxes and witheld social security .medicaid , and income taxes they never file on ..

They may have paid, but those payroll taxes never make it to the government coffers. (read us here) Probably winds up in the coffers of the illegal employers. Faked ss... they don't file... government doesn't know they exist. No wonder illegal aliens are in such demand.

"Old Age Is Not For Sissies"

re: faked never make it to government coffers...

as a small buisisness man ,.,, i can assure you if I report their social security number .. as i have to if iwant to deduct their wages .. and mine are contract labor ,,, you are full of shit .. you pay it or they pay it .. if they are employees on your payroll you withold it or the government shuts your ass down .. if you have evidence to the contrary feel free.. clovis

in fact

if they are your employee not contract labor ..you are responsible .. ie they collect from your ass no matter what , ..so tell me again how these fuckers dodge that ? cause the majority of people who employ illegals employ them thru payroll ..walmart ..home depot .. the meat plants ..umm lemme think ,,, Tyson ..the multi nationals .. .. i work contract labor but employ illegals for the occassional ditch ..just like I would a day laborer ..whom i dont ask for SS on either and amount to less than 1 percent of my payroll ,,,I am not the exception...looks forward to your stretching of the facts to fit your reality ..god bless creativity ..

a gaping hole somewhere

If you have a legal employee with a legal SS no., an employer has to take out payroll taxes. (I do it all the time) But how can the government/SS NOT know that a fake is a fake when the number doesn't match their issued number. And then a copy of each employees' W-2 form goes to the IRS, (with the fake number) , the employee never files... and the IRS and SS doesn't know this?

If an illegal gives me a SS no. that's fake, I would expect the IRS/SS to be letting me know. If I suspect it's fake, and the employee won't be filing, why am I sending in the deductions? They don't know I have an employee. They're not going to shut me down for not collecting from an employee I don't have.

"Old Age Is Not For Sissies"

at some point

gasp the government knows ... but yanno if you have 300 of the same sss numbers sending in not only taxes ..but also medicaid deductions and social security .explain to me their loss in this ? especially when in out flows they only allow one. ..and by the way tripshaft feel free to comment on the snopes article ..

as for you not filing

baby if you think you can make money off not filing taxes for your employees imagined or not .. power to you ... they cant squeeze blood out of a turnip ..but they can dayumn sure keep his turnip ass in the cellar .. for years and years.. I guarrantee i file even on undocumented ... they might give me minor shit .. bit if i say i hired this guy ..he said his name was X for 40 dollars ..they might not allow it ..but I am not perjuring self ..a ..and b ..I am being honest ... I have never seeen anyone who tried to scam on taxes was very sucessful in the long run... feel freee to correct me on that one ..just if its anyone you still like do it off this web site ..

you and I would never do it.....

... but you can bet your sweet bippy there are "employers" who do. What with those gigantic loopholes we've just been discussing, it's just too easy to pull off.

To assume that most "hired working" illegals are paying payroll taxes, is a big stretch for me. What can I say.

"Old Age Is Not For Sissies"

as to Snopes on illegals...

.... none of that changes the fact that the huge influx of illegal aliens into our country places an unnecessary gigantic burden on our; human resources, jobs, housing, penal system, law & order protection, court system, educational system, social services system, teaching about responsibility, etc. etc.

As I stated before, it's our own dang fault. Our elected officials won't implement immigration laws to the fullest, because many of us are too anxious to take advantage of the illegals. And until that changes, no great wall of the southwest is going to protect us.

We reaps what we sows.

"Old Age Is Not For Sissies"

re: i do agree

we should enforce the laws we have on the books...or change the laws.. we should not demonise these folks .. hell i have been to mexico I would be doing the same thing ... but its a complicated issue ..I won't deny that.. lou Dobbs has stated sonme statistics that i believe give credence to the negative impact of illegal aliens ,imigrants ..what ever the PC term is .. I have a hard time divorcing what i see as shrill invective against them when i have worked with them , besides them , hired them ...and they are as honest and hardworking as any people I have known .. having said that ..the average wage in the meat packing industry used to be 19 dollars and change ..that is gone ... and its illegal labor that fueled that .. in the building trades,,, not the electrical trade ,,but primarily dry wall , paint , and concrete,,middle class americans cant compete with lower wages paid to illegals.. its complicated ,, but .. we do have to do something ..without both sides posturing overly much ,,(hell that applies to almost any isue these days I can think of) When i become president ..i am inviting trip shaft and old guy and turk and hose head in for a beer to discuss it before I tell them they are wrong :) ..and post toasty i will meet for sunday brunch after church ..one of the ways to attack it is to help the democratically elected government of mexico find ways to increase their development ..rather than using them as a surf state for our manufacturing companies..the maquilladores (factories) of US companies on the mexico side ...ignore environmental regulation ..foul the water of us here in texas ..our air..the rio grande is the most .degraded, polluted river in the US.. so a lot of the problem here and in mexico is US corporations .. when its not how you make your money ..but the fact you make it ... is part of the problem .. and thats a huge societal problem not to be solved by passing an anti immigration law ...or an amnesty one for that matter..

sure nice of ya cLovis....

... to invite us all in for a beer. After a half dozen beers tho, we might be inclined to agree with you! I'm jealous tho that I can't do brunch with you and Posty.

About those US corporations in Mexico... how do suppose those same companies would behave here if there were no government controls on them.

What is with that Mexican administration anyway? Why are they so under-developed down there?

The illegal aliens dragging down the pay scale is the fault of those that hire them. And exactly why these people flock here without bothering to go the citizenship route.

Prez cLovis.... has a nice ring to it. Democrat or Independent?

"Old Age Is Not For Sissies"

lol at the jealous

well I dont know much about post toasty ..but i almost guarantee He dont drink beer..hence the brunch .. breaking bread with someone from my neck of the woods is an act that is mark of people who engage with each other.. i was raised country .I have never been to a farmers house where the woman of the house wasnt trying to feed me ..that is just the way it is .. it implies a trust in someone..and a common courtesy that is missing these days ..and I never see it in the city .. .. and while I dont agree with post toasty on a lot of issues.. its a texas ,,, even a country thing to eat with folks you want to have or foster a relationship with whether you agreee with them or not ... and if i was prez .. well post toaty would give me a clear no BS view of what people in his particular mind set look at .. clovis ...as for designation . truthfully i am a blue dog democrat.. there are several elected in this last congress.. fiscally conservative ..but after that on social issues they are all over the map .. now if i was a libertarian .. ron paul from texas is as pure a libertarian you are gonna see ..running as a republican from texas for prez,,, ...

questionable at best

dang that old snopes site ..its gonna be the end of internet chain letters..or truthiness ..nahhh yall like it to much .it should be true.. damn liberals .. ..on this very letter,, here is the link click here

Deplorable at best

There's very little good news from that snopes.com article.
