spoils to the victor!!

Hezbollah spokesman Hussein Rahhal said Nasrallah would deliver a "landmark historic speech" addressing international calls for his group's disarmament and the deployment of U.N. peacekeepers in south Lebanon, which for years has been controlled by the militant group. The U.N.-brokered cease-fire that ended fighting between the guerrillas and Israel on Aug. 14 calls for stripping Hezbollah of its weapons, but Nasrallah has been defiant.

Defiant terror leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah claims his followers have 20,000 rockets, won't disarm.

re: moving over osama

Hizzabollah has never operated outside of lebanon ..you are comparing apples to oranges..they have always been more a political force that any thing ..they didnt come into existence until the 18 year israeli occupation of Lebannon ..as far as hizzabollah rockets I would say just as unjustified is Israels use of cluster bombs.. in predominantly civillian populations its hard to say there is any justification for those. I could post all the links to those articles.. but y'all are lazy google it .. suffice to say they are about the size of a grapefruit .. 3 days before the war ended with an agreement coming ..Israel dumped over a million in southern lebanon .. amazing shit with the result that lebanese civillians will be dying for years to come .. lots of kids ..of course the kids brought it on themselves I am sure end result of Israels action Hizzabollah is stronger is what I am hearing ? Not exactly a triumph of military might over statesmanship in a region that sorely needs it

re Hizzabollah

You also totatlly ignore our failure to be a part of any kind of solution ..used to be the US was actually considered deal maker in the middle east ..a trusted broker.. now you are saying the UN is a a failure .. and we were a success? and if we were the ones driving the UN stuff we did great then? your logic in this one evades me

ah...apples & oranges? trusted broker? Yikes!

Osama and this Nasrallah guy are both terrorists. Apples to apples in my book. Each one has his favorite agenda, but their tactics are the same.

And just in case you missed it, the Bush administration does not negociate or "broker" with terrorist organizations.

re brokering

last i checked, lebanon had a duly elected government, that was not hzzabolah, and when the US actually engaged in the middle east, a lot more crisis were resolved than allowed to spiral out of control than this one, since Hizzabollah ended up stronger by this one and by extension Iran and syria , two more countries we dont talk to , its hard for me to see the plus side to this. Let's see the democratic government is lebannon is weaker , terrorists stronger, innocent civillians on both sides israeli and lebanese pay the price and you talk like its a success for the US.. still not geting it..

WOW!

There is no plus side over there.....for anyone. Not sure I said anything to make it look like a success for the US. Hezbollah is a terrorist organization, Osama is a terrorist.... the US doesn't negociate with terrorists..... period. How is that a success for the US?
