Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 can chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- yellow mustard
- dill pickle slices
- Hamburger buns
- minced onion (optional)
Crumble beef in skillet and brown over medium to medium-low heat; add onion and cook until onion begins to turn clear. Drain off fat. Meat should be very crumbly. Add broth and cook down until juice is almost gone. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve on buns.
Build each sandwich by pressing the hot ground beef into a 1/2 cup measuring cup. Dump the meat onto the bottom of a plain hamburger bun. Add mustard on the top bun, along with pickles and minced onion if desired. Top off the sandwich, then heat it up in your microwave oven for 10 to 15 seconds to warm the buns. Serve with a spoon as they do in the restaurants.
