Today is graduation!!

I finally graduate from college today with honors. It's been a long two years. The day is going to be very bittersweet.

I've had a minor melt-down today. I miss my dad so much and he was so looking forward to me graduating.

I know he's with me in spirit today. I just wish he was with me in person.

I only made my graduation for high school cause they told me they would hold my diplomia if I didn't attend! I never went to my collage graduations! I know it's important to most foolks.......to me it was just a day wasted! yeah I know////// call me shallow!

Now what ya gonna do soli?

Great day...

It's been a long day and I'm finally home.

I had a friend that I hadn't really spoken with for a few years due to an argument. Prior to the argument, we were as close as sisters. When Dad died, she was one of the first people I called. Out of habit, I think. She came right to the college, picked me up, and took me to Mom's house.

She's been right there for the family ever since he died. She knew how much today would have meant to my dad; how much he wanted to see me walk across that stage and receive that diploma.

She helped make the day not quite so depressing. She threw me a grad party after the ceremony this afternoon. Got me a couple of presents and made the day fun. She even came over and kidnapped me last night for a pre-grad ice-cream at the Dairy Queen.

I'm exhausted and satisfied with the day even though Dad wasn't physically here.

BTW, Clip...you're shallow!!! hehe
